Safety Afoot

10 October 2010no comments Health

While walking or jogging, make sure you take precautions.  These tips can help:

If possible, go with a buddy.

  • Carry a whistle and use it if a stranger approaches and you feel threatened.
  • Be aware of your surroundings. Look around often.  If using a MP3 player, keep the volume low and only use 1 earphone so you can hear what is happening around you.
  • Stay away from dark and secluded areas.
  • Carry a cell phone for emergency purposes.
